The Top 10 Jobs in Growth Until 2012

February 5th 2009 03:09
If you are thinking about starting a new career, there are at least 10 reasons to go back to school and learn a new trade. These are the top 10 best jobs to study for today!!

10) Dental Hygienist - More and more people are eating bad foods and evidently forgetting to brush afterwards. The need for dental hygienists is high and the salary can range from $9.00 an hour to more than $35.00 an hour. OPEN WIDE!

9) Veterinary Technologists and Technicians - Your pet needs an MRI, who will perform the diagnostic exam - these guys. With a salary range of $16,000 to $33,000 - no wonder the field needs more people today that ever before.

8) Database Administrators - These data extractors are looking at a 44% increase in jobs. Salary range $16,000 to $75,000.

7) Fitness Trainers and Aerobics Instructors - See number 10. Salary range $7.00 to $22.00 an hour.

6) Physical Therapist Aides - Disabilities are on the rise and injuries are on the rise. This means physical therapists will need more help than ever before. That help comes in the form of an aide. Salary range is $16,000 to $75,000.

5) Computer Application Software Engineers - Okay, so I have no idea what these people do, but I bet the end career will have something to do with creating iPhone applications on the side. With a salary range of $18,000 to $96,000 (plus the money from the iPhone apps) - this one is worth the study time.

4) Medical Records and Health Information Technicians - People are sicker than ever before and with a record retention of more than 30 years in most cases, these guys are the most organized on the planet. And, just think, if it doesn't work out you can always apply for one of those Home Improvement Get Me Organized TV shows. Salary range $16,000 to $75,000.

3) Medical Assistants - This one threw me for a loop a bit. I know many MAs that are certified and out of work. Maybe it’s the economy, but I think there may be an overabundance of people in these positions. Salary range $16,000 to $75,000.

2) Physician Assistant - With a shortage of doctors, these guys fill in the gaps. When you are sick, but not too sick, the PA will often be the one you see. Salary range $16,000 to $75,000 (more in hot medical markets.)

1) Network Systems and Data Communications Analysts - I bet this one has something to do with the Internet. No wonder it is number one in growth. Salary range is $18,000 to $96,000.
